We know that you will want your products right away, so we ship them the same day as long as the order is placed by 12:00 Noon Eastern Standard Time. That way you can enjoy your munchies as soon as possible. If a faster shipping time is needed (such as same day delivery) shipments are shipped via FedEx Ground.

But what if you order the beef jerky or blocks of chocolate? Will the perishable items survive the trip? The answer is yes! All products shipped are guaranteed fresh and when ordering a perishable food item, we ask that you make sure you are home to receive the delivery to ensure it does not remain in the elements for an extreme amount of time, however, we know that this may not always be possible. In an effort to maintain product integrity during transit, perishable products will be shipped in an insulated package between May 1st and October 1st.

Banana, Oat, and Chia Seed Muffins by: Gena Hamshaw

Preparation time: 10 minutes

Cook time: 25 minutes

Serves: 12 muffins


?1 tablespoon groundflax seed

?2 teaspoons apple cider vinegar

?? cup almond or soy milk

?2 cups spelt or whole wheat pastry flour

?1 cup rolled oats

?2 teaspoons baking powder

?½ teaspoon salt

?½ teaspoon cinnamon

?½ teaspoon dried ginger

?3 tablespoons chia seeds

?1 heaping cup mashed banana (3 large, very ripe bananas, mashed)

?¾ cup brown sugar

?? cup vegetable oil (such as safflower, grapeseed, or canola)


1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees and lightly oil a 12-muffin baking pan. Whisk the ground flax with 3 tablespoons warm water and set aside.

2. In a medium sized bowl, whisk together the non-dairy milk and apple cider vinegar.

3. In a large mixing bowl, combine together the flour, oats, baking powder, salt, cinnamon, ginger and chia seeds.

4. Add the mashed banana, sugar, and oil to the milk & vinegar mixture. Stir in the flax mixture. Add these wet ingredients to the dry ingredients. Mix until the ingredients are just combined.

5. Add ? cup batter to each well in the muffin pan. Sprinkle the tops with extra rolled oats, and bake for about 22-25 minutes (or until muffins are browning and a toothpick comes out mostly clean). Enjoy with fresh fruit, or almond or peanut butter for a healthy snack!


Muffins can be wrapped individually and stored in a cool, dry place for up to 4 days. Once wrapped, they can be frozen for up to 4 weeks.
